Holly Bell, Ph.D., LCSW

Holly Bell is a Research Associate with the Center for Social Work Research, a part of the adjunct faculty of The University of Texas at Austin. She has been a professional social worker since 1978 and has worked in a number of social work settings, including the Family Violence Unit, Victim Services Division, Austin Police Department from 1991 - 1993. She received her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999.

Her interests focus on trauma survivors, particularly survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and the impact of counseling survivors on professional caregivers. She also was the Investigator on a grant from the National Domestic Violence Hotline to assess the service needs of survivors of intimate partner abuse.
